İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim University was founded in 2010 by the cessation of the publication of the flag, which was established during the era of development and speaking of the Ottoman Empire during the reign of Sultan Beyazid II.
The university includes about seven colleges, at the head of which are the Faculties of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Business Administration and Administrative Sciences, and the College of Health Sciences. These colleges offer about 34 undergraduate programs, 57 master’s programs, and 20 doctoral programs.
And the university is distinguished by its distinguished geographical location in Istanbul by the European end of the city, where the university is located specifically in the region (Küçükçekmece)
The university includes a large mosque boasting of the old Ottoman heritage and also includes a huge library called (SABAHATTİN ZAİM Library).
The “SABAHATTİN ZAİM ” library is one of the largest libraries in Istanbul in terms of area and books in 15 different languages, which makes it an important destination for reading enthusiasts and local and foreign researchers.
The university depends on its approach on innovative and unique educational methods as it revolves around the student with a balance in focusing on the depth and breadth of the knowledge provided, it is a young and dynamic university with a vision to provide the best educational experience for its students and to be one of the leading universities in Turkey.

Student Clubs
They have 33 student clubs active in IZU. In addition to these clubs, they have a total of 9 Students Communities. Student Clubs and Student Communities have the opportunity to work with a team spirit by organizing many activities in; cultural, social, and sports areas both inside and outside the campus. The experience and achievements of IZU students in these club and society activities, form an important place in their educational lives, as they also contribute positively to their professional skills. During the year, various activities such as; conferences, sports tournaments, workshops, and trips suitable for the purpose of the clubs are organized. Clubs and Communities work intensively at student festivals held at the end of the year.
Sports facilities on the campus
Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Halkali Central Campus has many outdoor and indoor sports facilities. Such as Stadium, Indoor Sports Hall, Golf Course, Tennis Court, also Outdoor Basketball Court, Outdoor Volleyball Court, Handball Court, and Archery Area. In addition to the sports hall, there are also fitness halls in the dormitories and guesthouses. These facilities, where our students can spend time, host many training and courses. The football, basketball, archery, rowing, table tennis, and tennis teams formed by IZ university students have achieved success in many competitions.
Students Exchange Program Erasmus
Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies enables students enrolled in our university to complete a part of their education at the higher education institution (which has an inter-institutional agreement with IZU) in Erasmus+ Program Countries.
