The founder is the Turkish Education Association – Higher Education Foundation (TEDYÜV) which in turn was founded by the Turkish Education Association (TED).
With an emphasis on liberal arts education, TEDU aims to foster graduates, who are creative, critical-minded, self-confident, and well-rounded.
The University consists of five faculties: Architecture, Arts and Sciences, Economics and Administrative Sciences; Education and Engineering, and English is the medium of instruction.

Through academically rigorous coursework, dynamic teaching, meaningful research, and a myriad of opportunities for students to engage locally and abroad we seek to build a diverse community of socially responsible, globally-minded, lifelong learners.
Internal mechanisms for quality improvement and assurance at TED University and most Turkish Universities include TED University Quality Management Procedures, which serve as guidelines/set of instructions on how to perform the structuring procedures and activities, and the annual self-evaluation reports on how these activities have been realized.

students exchange program(ERASMUS)
An educational program, which is improved and financed by the European Union and executed by the Turkish National Agency affiliated to the European Union Ministry in the country, aims at fostering cooperation between higher education institutions themselves, as well as between the higher education institutions and the business world. In addition to the short-term student and staff exchange, common projects between universities and sectors are also supported within the program.
TED University was awarded ‘Extended Erasmus Higher Education Charter’ in July 2012 and started to implement the Erasmus program in the 2013-2014 Academic Year. By the 2017-2018 Academic Year, TED University has bilateral agreements with many universities from 19 different European countries. 59 of these agreements are for staff mobility while 52 of them are for student mobility.
dormitories
TED University Rector, besides lecturers and many citizens, students living in the dormitory which has a capacity of 420 beds in Mustafa Kemal district consists of two blocks, female and male students. In the dormitory, the construction of which was completed in a short period of 10 months; There are all kinds of areas such as study hall, social area, infirmary, refectory.
